He once got hurt, he experienced pain.
The tears dropped created a sharp fence around him.
He doesn’t need anybody close to him.
He is a lonely soul pushing everybody away.
He avoids his feelings day after day.
Drinking to make his emotions fade away.
Time has passed, new people have arrived.
Yet, his fears continue controlling his life
Fear of love. Fear of pain.
Fear to feel. Fear to live.
Fear of disappointment. Fear of tears.
Fear of getting hurt like in those dark years.
