Welcome to Leona Creo, a social network for art. These terms are the agreement between you and Leona Creo OÜ for using the website leonacreo.com and the Leona Creo apps (together, “Leona Creo”). Please read them: by creating an account or using Leona Creo, you accept them. How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
These terms are effective from 29 October 2026.
1. Who we are, and our point of contact
Leona Creo is run by Leona Creo OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia under register code 14863242, at Sakala tn 7-2, Tallinn 10141, Estonia (“Leona Creo”, “we”, “us”).
Single point of contact. Under Articles 11 and 12 of the Digital Services Act, our single point of contact for members, other users and the authorities of the EU Member States, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services is [email protected]. You can write to us in English or Estonian. Messages are read and answered by people, not by an automated tool.
2. What Leona Creo is
Leona Creo is a community where artists show their work and where everyone who loves art can discover it, follow artists, applaud, save artworks, comment, review and send messages. It is an online platform that stores and shows content its members provide. Leona Creo is free to use.
3. Leona Creo is not a marketplace
- We do not sell, buy or broker artworks, and Leona Creo is not a party to any sale between members. No contract for the sale of an artwork is concluded through Leona Creo.
- A price shown on an artwork is information from the artist, not an offer from Leona Creo.
- If you agree to buy or sell an artwork, the agreement is only between you and the other member. You arrange the price, payment, delivery, returns and any other terms directly with each other, and you are responsible for them. If an artist sells as a business, the consumer rights that apply to that sale are owed by the artist, not by Leona Creo.
- We do not handle payments for artworks, check the artworks or the members, or guarantee that a sale will happen or go well. Take the usual care before paying anyone.
4. Who can use Leona Creo
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you also need the permission of a parent or guardian where the law of your country requires it. If you use Leona Creo for a business, you accept these terms on its behalf. You may not use Leona Creo if we have closed your account for breaking these terms, unless we agree otherwise.
5. Your account
- An account is personal: one person per account. Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You choose your account type when you create it: an Artist account to post your work, or a Collector account to discover and follow artists.
- You can sign in with your email and password, or with Google, Apple or Facebook. Keep your password and your devices secure, and tell us at once if you think someone else used your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account, unless it happened without any fault of yours.
- Do not create an account for someone else, impersonate anyone, or sell or transfer your account.
6. Your content and the licence you give us
Your artworks, photos, videos, texts, comments, reviews and messages are your content. You keep all your rights in it, including your copyright; we claim no ownership.
So that we can run Leona Creo, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:
- host and store your content;
- display it to other people according to your choices and the features you use, on the website and in the apps;
- adapt it technically, for example by resizing, compressing or making thumbnails, without changing what it shows; and
- show your published artworks to promote Leona Creo, within Leona Creo (for example on our home page and our page for artists) and on Leona Creo’s official social media accounts, always credited with your name.
We use this licence only for those purposes. We do not sell your content or license it to anyone else. We respect your moral rights: we always name you as the author and never distort your work. You can ask us at any time to stop featuring a particular artwork in our promotion.
The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that other people have already shared with their own messages, copies in backups until they are overwritten (within 30 days), and what we must keep by law or to handle a report or a legal claim.
7. Artists’ responsibilities
- Post only work you created, or that you have the right to show, and photos and videos you have the right to use.
- If a person can be recognised in your work or your photos, make sure you have their permission.
- Describe your work honestly: its title, medium, size, details and any price you show.
- You alone are responsible for your work, for the information you give about it and for any sale you agree with a buyer, including any taxes and the law that applies to it.
8. Community rules
Leona Creo is a place for art and for respect. You must not post, send or do anything that:
- is illegal under EU law or the law of an EU Member State, or promotes or helps illegal activity;
- harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone, or attacks people for who they are (for example their origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age);
- infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights, for example by posting another artist’s work as your own;
- breaks the rules on nudity in art;
- glorifies or incites violence, terrorism, self-harm or cruelty, or shows gore for its own sake;
- is spam, a scam, misleading, or advertising that is not your own art;
- impersonates a person or an organisation, or misrepresents your connection with them;
- shares someone’s personal information without their permission;
- tries to get around a block, a removal or a suspension;
- interferes with Leona Creo, for example with malware, scraping, automated accounts or attempts to break its security.
9. Nudity in art
- Allowed: artistic nudity, as art has always shown the human body: in painting, drawing, sculpture and fine-art photography.
- Not allowed: sexually explicit or pornographic content; anything that shows, sexualises or exploits minors in any way, which we remove and report to the authorities; and content that glorifies gore.
- Labels and limits: we may label artworks that show nudity, or limit where they appear (for example on the home page, in promotion or in the apps), so that each member can choose what they see. These measures are not a sanction and do not need a report.
10. How we moderate content
We moderate content to enforce these terms and the law. This is how (Article 14 of the Digital Services Act):
- Before publication: our moderators, who are people, review every artwork before it is published and every review before it is shown.
- After publication: profiles, comments and messages are not checked in advance. We act on them when they are reported or when we find a problem ourselves.
- Automatic tools: filters may hold back or refuse a comment that contains listed words or too many links, and comments on our blog posts are checked for spam by Akismet. A held comment is reviewed by a person. No report is decided automatically, and we never act on the number of reports alone.
- What we can do: remove content or make it unavailable, label it or limit where it appears, limit features of an account, suspend an account for a time, or close it. We choose the measure that fits the seriousness of the problem.
- Speed: we aim to review every report within 24 hours.
11. Reporting illegal content and copyright infringement
Anyone, with or without an account, can tell us about content they believe is illegal or breaks these terms (Article 16 of the Digital Services Act):
- With the Report action on an artwork, a member, a conversation or a comment, on the website or in the app; or
- by email to [email protected].
A notice by email should include:
- a clear explanation of why you believe the content is illegal or breaks these terms;
- the exact address (URL) of the content, or enough to find it;
- your name and email address, except when you report content you believe to be child sexual abuse material; and
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the information in the notice is accurate and complete.
Copyright: if you believe content on Leona Creo infringes your copyright or another right of yours, send a notice as above and also identify the work that is infringed and, if you act for the rights holder, say so. We remove infringing content and close the accounts of repeat infringers.
We confirm that we received your notice, decide on it with care, objectively and without undue delay, and tell you our decision and how you can challenge it. We give priority to notices from trusted flaggers named under the Digital Services Act. If content suggests a threat to someone’s life or safety, we inform the authorities.
12. Our decisions, their reasons, and your complaints
- Statement of reasons: when we remove or restrict your content or your account, we tell you what we did, why, which rule or law it is based on, whether automatic tools were involved, and how you can challenge it (Article 17 of the Digital Services Act), unless the law prevents us or the content is deceptive spam.
- Complaints: you can complain about any decision we take on your content, your account or your notice, free of charge, for six months after we tell you about it, by writing to [email protected] (Article 20). A person who did not take the first decision reviews your complaint, and we tell you the outcome without undue delay. If the complaint is justified, we reverse the decision.
- Out-of-court settlement: you can also take the dispute to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body (Article 21). The European Commission publishes the list of certified bodies. We will engage with the body you choose in good faith. This does not affect your right to go to court.
13. Repeated misuse
If a member frequently posts content that is manifestly illegal, we first warn them and then suspend their account for a reasonable time; serious or continued misuse leads to closing the account. If someone frequently sends notices or complaints that are manifestly unfounded, we may, after a warning, stop handling their notices and complaints for a reasonable time (Article 23 of the Digital Services Act). We decide case by case, taking into account how often it happened, how serious it was and the intention behind it.
15. Importing from Instagram
Artists can connect their Instagram account and import their own posts as artworks. Import only posts you have the right to publish. Imported posts become artworks in your account, which you complete and which our moderators approve before they are published. You can disconnect Instagram at any time. Instagram’s own terms apply to your use of Instagram.
16. Paid features
Leona Creo is free, and nothing can be bought on it today. Paid features for artists, such as a PRO membership and the promotion of artworks, are coming soon: they have no price yet and cannot be purchased. Before any of them is offered, we will publish its price, its own terms and your rights as a consumer, including your right of withdrawal, and you will have to accept them before you buy.
17. Ending your use of Leona Creo
- You can stop using Leona Creo and delete your account at any time, in the app (Profile, Settings, Delete account) or on the website (Account details, Delete account). What is deleted and what is kept is explained in the Privacy Policy.
- We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other people. We tell you the reason (see section 12), and, where we can, we warn you first.
- We may also stop offering Leona Creo. We will tell you at least 30 days in advance and give you time to save what you need.
- The sections on your content’s licence (as far as it continues), our liability and governing law continue after your account ends.
18. Our service and our liability
- We work to keep Leona Creo available, safe and useful. It may change, and it may sometimes be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control.
- Content on Leona Creo comes from its members. We are not responsible for what members post or say, for the accuracy of their information, or for agreements, sales and payments between members. Once we know of illegal content, we act on it as section 11 describes.
- We are fully liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, for death or personal injury, and wherever mandatory law does not allow liability to be limited or excluded.
- In all other cases, because Leona Creo is free, we are liable only for direct damage that was foreseeable when you accepted these terms, and our total liability to you is limited to EUR 100.
- Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
19. Governing law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the law of Estonia. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you have your habitual residence (Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation).
- If you are a consumer living in the EU, you can bring a claim against us in the courts of the country where you live or in Estonia, and we can bring a claim against you only in the courts of the country where you live (Brussels I bis Regulation). If you are not a consumer, the courts of Tallinn, Estonia, have jurisdiction.
- Before going to court, please write to [email protected]: most problems can be solved directly. For disputes about content moderation, see also section 12.
20. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when Leona Creo changes or the law requires it. We will tell you about any change by email or in the app at least 30 days before it applies, and explain what changes. If you do not accept the new terms, you can delete your account at any time before they apply, free of charge. Changes that only correct errors, or that a law or an authority requires sooner, may apply earlier, and we will tell you why. The date at the top shows the current version.
