Harkness in Pink

“Harkness in Pink”, 8 x 10, soft pastel on toned paper

This painting is of a view from Harkness State Park overlooking the long grasses towards a farmhouse that used to be painted red (according to Matt). If you look carefully you can see a glimmer of the estuary’s water to the left.

I had a nightmare just after finishing up this pastel landscape. In my dream I couldn’t find this painting anywhere and I was so upset. I felt so much relief seeing it on my easel the next morning!
