I have always loved the wood grain on the wood panels I use. Well I decided to stain one with a water based stain and left it exposed with a matte varnish. Then created this beautiful platinum geode agate slice with loads of sparkle and even I gasped when I pulled off the tape. This beast is a stunner. Masculine yet delicate, soft yet strong, organic and modern all in one.

Done on cradled panel it is
24” x 30”
I used @meyspring pigments gilded gold and silver lining to create the platinum and bronze stone and carbon black for the body and ooouf those results!!
