At The Wooden Quill and The Wood Artist Studio we are dedicated to providing high quality wood turnings and custom made wood work. crafted from native and exotic woods and focusing on rescuing wood that could otherwise end up in the trash.

My name is Mike and I truly love wood. Working with wood is a complete sensual experience; sight, smell, feel, and yes sound. Especially turning wood on a lathe. The wood sings as it evolves from a piece of a tree to something practical, beautiful or just plain satisfying.

Each creation starts with wood hand selected to produce a valuable item that says the owner appreciates quality. Each turning is unique and whenever possible we use recycled materials from trees that are already down.

Often pieces we offer here have been displayed in galleries and shops and are always gallery level quality. You can be assured that any turning or creation purchased here can be artfully displayed and admired in your home or office.
