I’ve been working with macramé for a number of years and always enjoyed experimenting with various different knots, patterns, and materials trying to give rise to new forms and shapes. My ideas from the very beginning have been influenced by nature with its seemingly chaotic and endless variety of forms created out of perfect geometric patterns, as well as, by the creative and positive side of our contemporary world which may be less perfect but can be innovative funny and playful. My ambition is to create objects that are unique and simply beautiful to wear and see.

All the macramé at KatiAllo are handmade by me using colorful high quality waxed threads often complemented with semi-precious gemstones. A light coat of wax provides for an extra level of rigidity and water resistance but also makes the knots stand out better and become a focal point.
