They are made by African artisans to earn their living and to promote the African culture as well.
A Kiondo (TraditionalAfricanBag), is a handwoven bag made of sisal with leather trimmings. The pattern of each Kiondo is very unique. It takes two to three weeks to finish the whole process of making a kiondo since most of the weavers have to look after their households. The weavers from the Kamba tribe of Kenya use threads stripped from a sisal plant. The sisal is then kept for drying then they make the bag from there.
