adorable activities
Canismo is a campaign that works to create awareness of this issue.
It gives dogs the power to express themselves through art.
It is one of the most adorable activities you will ever see.
The dogs shake paint onto a canvas.
Then the abstract works of art go on sale to support their needs in the shelter.
The Goal Is to Find Good Dogs a Great Home
No dogs are harmed in the Canismo project.
Helpers use non-toxic paint that the dogs shake off to create their artwork.
The paint consists of food coloring and corn starch.
Helpers then pour the liquid all over the dog to make them wet.
Then the helpers stand back because the dogs shake themselves off.
The paint splashes onto canvases strategically placed around the animal.
18 unique pieces came out of the first effort of this project.
All of the benefits go to the Procure1Amigo shelter.
Doggo Photos Are Also Part of the Exhibition
The first exhibition for the Canismo project took place between September 5-13, 2019.
All of the paintings created by the dogs were put up for sale.
Canismo also displayed several photographs of the dogs creating the artwork.
These images helped to raise funds for the animal shelter as well.
Who doesn’t enjoy a colorful dog shaking off a bunch of non-toxic paint to support themselves?

Although the first show is over with the Canismo project, more ideas are under development to help animal shelters.
You can show your support for this idea by speaking with your local facility to see how your efforts could help the pets in need in your community.
Every dog deserves to find their forever family.
Your support of animal shelters can improve their conditions while you get something (or someone) amazing for your home.
