George Noseworthy, referred to by Time Magazine as "The Pied Piper of Hibb's Cove" ... was born in 1929 and raised on the shore of Long Island Sound in New York. He began drawing and painting at the age of eight and by the time he became an adult, graduated in the top ten of his class from New York State University Institute of Applied Arts & Sciences.
He then studied at the Art Students League in New York and worked for major advertising agencies and publishers mixing with the likes of Andy Warhol, Norman Rockwell, and Truman Capote. George had a successful career in advertising for twenty one years achieving the position of art director with Scholastic Magazine before leaving in 1967.
