Upcycled Driftwood Little Houses

My name is Desi Dimowa.

I have a Master’s degree in Chemistry and this together with my love to nature, gave me the inspiration to use recycled materials in my works.

I enjoy walking around beaches near my home on the South Kent coast, collecting driftwood and other debris left by the tide. Led by the shapes and forms of these materials, I create unique sculptures, usually cottages, coastal scenes or animals.

All my works is a handmade with a driftwood, reclaimed wood, upcycled materials, paint, wire, rustic nails and mix of found objects.

I use different traditional hand woodworking techniques, also knitting, crochet.

Working with upcycled materials, driftwood, sea debris and natural resources.

Handmade in the Dimow's workshop
